You don't need to think like everyone else thinks
...
People worry they will run out of time.
That their time on Earth is limited to 78 years or so.
It makes them feel pressure. They rush.
But life is an endless process of mastering infinite manifestations of consciousness.
We’re all connected in a way that many cannot grasp.
We are not ‘bubbly Jody from Accounts.’
We’re label-free.
We’re the observer of our experience rather than the experiencer.
As Advaita Vedanta taught: ‘You are the actor, not the character.’
Ask yourself: ‘If I can observe my thoughts, my stories and memories, then what am I?’
You are awareness itself.
And awareness is not only attached to you.
It goes deeper than that.
Awareness is the Universe expressing itself.
Yep, that’s you.
It’s just that we do not experience a single manifestation of consciousness at a time.
Person by person.
When it’s over, we pop up somewhere else.
And that life can also be mastered and enjoyed.
Every ongoing experience you have adds to the richness of your infinite nature.
So don’t worry about the end.
It’s a work in progress for me, but I always find my stress diminish when I remember this.
The stoics talked about how you will be virtually unstoppable if you can find a way to fear death less.
Well. This is your way to do that.
What can you do with this?
Explore this idea further as you go through your next week.
This life isn’t to be rushed or wasted.
It’s to be savoured.
Mastered.
And then you get to enjoy the next one.
If you’d like to go deeper on this idea in the context of reducing stress and anxiety, you’ll love my positively reviewed Untethered Mind course.
