But why would anyone care about what I have to say?
This thought often conflicted with my writing, causing me to skip days.
It seemed pointless when other writers were cranking out several great articles each week. And they were all so damn good.
But with every day I missed, I felt this growing emptiness.
Others were making an impact whilst I stewed in avoidance.
I've spoken to many aspiring writers who think this way. They don't feel equipped to contribute because they see themselves as too average, too pedestrian.
They say, "Who am I to write about this? What could I possibly add that hasn't been said before?"
So they procrastinate. They pretend that 'there are other, more important things in life than writing.'
This is a shame.
Why? Because everyone has something powerful to contribute.
No one has lived your life in the unique way you have lived it. No matter how 'mundane' you think that is.
Here's what I wish someone had told me earlier:
You don't need to be the world's expert. You just need to be a few steps ahead of someone who needs your perspective.
That's it.
Knowing this, I no longer feel like such an imposter. I stop comparing. I write from a sense of authentic energy.
And now I have trouble stopping.
If you've felt stuck but you want to write consistently, you might need some clarity.
The Confident Writer course gives you this clarity.
It's for you if you need help starting or want to get back into a consistent habit.
The course shows you why your words matter, what to write about in a way only YOU can, and how to link that up to an audience hungry for your ideas.
The course will take you from skipping writing sessions to having an exciting reason to write every day.
There's a huge difference between feeling ill-equipped to write and having so much to write about that you make excuses to return to the keyboard.
The course closes tomorrow, Monday at 3pm ET. This is your last chance to get it for many weeks (and at $77 instead of $197).
