- what's the plan?
what's the plan?
-
Yesterday, I closed a deal for 3,000 sqm of meadow in a village in Bulgaria.
I sent the news and some pics to several friends.
Almost all asked me: What's the plan?
It is, after all, a piece of land with nothing on it.
What do I even do with this overgrown corner of a foreign country?
The truth is, I don't have a plan.
But I do have an idea, and plenty of excitement.
The idea is to make this place livable over the coming months and years. And to do it in a way that keeps me flexible.
So I'm playing with the idea of keeping all the main constructions on there movable - meaning they can be toed away on wheels if I ever wanted to move.
It also makes it easier to get permits. No building permits. Just movable object permits.
A cabin or two on wheels.
Maybe a container.
Some other smaller things, like sheds and tents.
We'll see.
The thing is, it doesn't need to be how others have always done it.
You just need to give yourself permission.
And take things one step at a time.
No scary plan. Just small steps.
Like me buying a strimmer today to cut the grass. Best I can do at this point.
This set-up will allow me to keep running my business, even if I live in a field.
Because all I need is decent Internet (my phone data gives me this), some subscribers to my email newsletter willing to buy some of my products, and a bit of electricity (which can come from a power bank).
If you'd also like to build a list of subscribers and potential buyers, I'd recommend doing what I did, which is to post a few times a week and send readers to sign up to your newsletter.
My Online Writing Alchemy course shows you the 'how to write so people follow you' part.
It gives you the 16 secrets that lead to followable writing.
Back to mowing...
