What if you aren’t seeing results?
. . .
One of the hardest things is having the strength to continue when you don’t see immediate results.
I dealt with this when I started my first blog.
I saw this when I started creating YouTube videos, talking about anything that came to mind.
I had this issue when starting a new newsletter.
You create. Few respond.
Crickets.
You continue on a little longer, telling yourself that things will soon change.
But still, weeks go by and there’s so little traction.
It’s frustrating.
You realise this creating and sharing thing is harder than you had anticipated.
Many quit at this point. Their project, which was once attached to so many high hopes, is set to drift silently away.
But a few go on. I knew I had to because I had no other option.
I continued creating regardless of poor immediate results.
I focused more on the process of improving in the dark instead of getting attached to results, likes, and engagement.
This and faith.
Those who eventually emerged victorious kept going thanks to a subtle but potent philosophy. They were patient, and their faith kept them patient.
Not necessarily the religious type of faith - simply the belief that this would work out.
And it always does, with time, necessary adjustment and dedication.
It’s taken me some time, but I am seeing the results that have come from sticking with it when there were few results.
The hardest part is when no one knows you yet.
But your showing up over time changes that.
Don’t give up now.
Know that it takes time, but often less time than you might think.
Most people give up surprisingly quickly, leaving you with less competition.
Find a way to love the process, and your odds of failure will drop significantly.
If you’re a writer, you’ll know it’s a lot easier to love the process when focused on mastering the craft.
My Online Writing Alchemy course helps with just that. Based on years of personal failure, I show you exactly how to transform your writing so that your joy for writing quickly returns.
Master online writing that actually resonates, and you’ll fall in love with the process.
