What if focus wasn’t the problem?
Crafting a simple system that leads to progress
We tell ourselves we need more focus.
I wish I was a more focused person, we say.
But this only leads to a sense of inadequacy, which makes us even less focused.
What if you didn’t need to concern yourself with becoming more disciplined, more focused or more productive?
Forget all that and focus on what helped me the most over the years:
Crafting a simple system that focuses on your main priorities.
The system does the heavy lifting.
All you need to do is follow your system.
And it doesn’t need to be complicated.
How would things be different for you if you did more of the right things more of the time?
Most of us stumble through our days, hoping things will just work out.
We react to what’s urgent, like little twitchy woodland creatures.
There’s no direction; we just feel a vague sense that stuff is getting done.
We need to know our priorities and stay with them long enough for them to bear fruit.
I know - ‘priorities’ sounds complicated and heavy.
But all we’re talking about here is what regular tasks are essential for you based on what you want to make happen in your life.
It’s about knowing what to spend your days doing that moves you closer.
So here’s the deal:
First, figure out what you want.
Then, figure out what kind of system you need to design to guide your daily actions.
If you need help with all this, my latest course: The One System Method shows you how to build your own, simple and relevant systems that will create momentum for you in the right places.
With this method, you’ll:
Pinpoint what’s meaningful so your work gets you somewhere, instead of just keeping you busy.
Simplify decision-making with a system that matches your main objectives with the right, basic habits.
Once your system’s in place, you don’t need to overthink it. You just do what’s necessary.
This Friday 24th, the course will be available to Ember subscribers for just 24 hours before it vanishes.
If you want access so you don’t miss it, the time to upgrade is today.
Cheers,
Alex
