They trigger me

My neck vein throbs, and my fists clench.
I'm stewing again over what they said (or didn't do).
Yup, even mindset guru guy can get frustrated with the people in his life.
I'm lying here in bed imagining how cool it would be to take this person by the collar, look them in the eye, and give them a good, hard, old-fashioned berating.
I write about mental clarity for a living.
I teach this stuff.
Yet, here I am, having imaginary arguments in my head.
I'll be honest. Knowledge doesn't make me immune to rumination like this.
I still get frustrated. My focus still scatters, and I still lose time to thinking about others' behaviours.
I obviously haven't achieved enlightenment yet.
But you don't need to.
When your relationship with your thoughts improves, you catch yourself more quickly.
This morning, it took me ten minutes.
My automatic mind generator kicked in, and I was reminded to breathe, unclench fists, and drop shoulders.
Six years ago, these ruminations about other people would have ruined my day, if not my entire week.
As someone who wants as much freedom to focus as possible, this is a problem.
I've spoken to many people who lose large chunks of their time to over-analysing situations with others.
Sadly, this is taking many of us off track from the dreams and goals we're aiming for.
I'm better at this now that I've stopped seeing other people as the problem.
When you understand how your thoughts create your experience, you naturally catch yourself faster.
You stop needing others to behave differently.
You stop replaying conversations.
You reclaim your focus.
That's what my Let Go of the S#it That Weakens You course does. It guides you through a process of challenging the handful of thoughts that keep you trapped in rumination.
The course can be done in a day, and it literally rewires your thinking for life.
What's that worth to you?
