This is the exact text I received from the Polish authorities this morning:
‘Warning! In connection with the operation to neutralize objects that have violated the borders of the Republic of Poland, inform the services about the drones of their crash sites. Do not approach them.’ (translated)
Neutralize objects?
Drones?
I turn on the news and see that multiple major airports have been shut down, including the main one here in Warsaw.
My dad is texting me.
I look out at the airport, which is only five minutes from me.
I see no planes taking off or landing.
I feel like I’m in a science fiction movie.
And yet, I just don’t feel all that fussed.
I’m remarkably calm.
Years ago, I might have panicked. Today, I have concerns, sure. I am considering what countries to go to, should this issue with Russia and Poland escalate.
But my anxiety just isn’t there.
I just feel creative. Creative enough to write this newsletter.
Why, Alex? Shouldn’t you be nervous right now?
I suspect a lot of this has to do with the work I’ve done on my mindset over the years.
A huge component of this was the total paradigm shift I had several years ago.
In that shift, my mental approach flipped from:
Bad stuff out there makes me stressed!
To...
My thoughts about seemingly bad stuff make me stressed.
Subtle, but huge difference.
I learned that how I view the world has a profound effect on my behaviours, my moods, and my general enthusiasm for life.
I’m no longer at the mercy of what other crazies are doing.
Sure, the prospect of war isn’t good.
I can’t control that.
But I can control how I respond.
And when I realise I can choose to be less bothered; less wound up by external events, I become calmer, more rational and...
More creative.
I make better decisions.
There’s no fog of delusion and fear.
I see things as they are.
And I’m no longer a pinball in the machine of life.
The more astute among you will likely be thinking that I’m about to try to sell you my Untethered Mind course.
This is an email about healthy mental health habits.
Of course, he would. Wouldn’t he?
And to that I’ll say....
You’re absolutely spot on.
I am going to sell you this course, not because I’m a sleazy salesman with nothing better to do...
But because I KNOW with certainty that your life will change when you give this course an hour of your time and awareness today.
The course will guide you through to the exact realisations I had about the mind that make me FAR more calm these days, no matter what the circumstances.
There’s nothing out there like this because my emphasis is on shifting your understanding, not teaching you clever mindset tactics that make you feel good for seven minutes.
The insights you will gain from Untethered Mind will serve you for life.
What is that worth to you?
Much love,
Alex
“It was instant! This course completely changed my perspective on how my thoughts influence the way I react to the world around me. I’ve tried hundreds of resources on "fixing myself," and on self-improvement, but I never expected this kind of clarity from Alex's Untethered Mind. Don’t overthink it, I’d recommend it to anyone without a second thought.” Sarvam Fating
