They find you when you stop trying

I know people who followed the formulas and were left angry.
They had the best content-writing blueprints.
They tried to sound clever.
They aimed to please.
But still, no one seemed to give a damn about their content.
The paradox I’ve learned over the years, creating and publishing, is that the more I try to please, the less impact I seem to make.
Or I attract the wrong people.
After several hundred attempts, I began to see clearly.
When I focused on writing stuff that genuinely interested and entertained me, rather than creating what I thought I should, the response spiked.
People seemed to connect with the energy, which I can’t fake.
Because good content is about transferring emotion.
And if I don’t feel it, you won’t feel it either.
When I create from this place, with joy, curiosity and a cheeky bit of mischief here and there, I start connecting.
I’m in the aliveness business.
When I focus on creating things that bring me to life, the right people come to me.
What kind of work would you be creating if your only goal were to feel more alive?
