The uncommon way to triple your creativity

. . .

Many people are busy trying to look impressive.

But it holds them back instead.

They avoid revealing any cracks, blemishes or flaws.

That’s a one-way ticket to feeling stunted and unmotivated.

This plagued me for years in my younger years, when I was self-conscious and shy and struggled to express myself in groups.

It’s exhausting when we’re trying to uphold a squeaky-clean image all the time.

It’s like holding your breath and slowly turning blue.

You can’t be motivated in the long run if you aren’t willing to look imperfect.

If you need to work extra hard to look good, sound right, and remain ‘professional,’ you’ve lost before you started.

Uptightness is no place for creativity.

People are looking for truth. They hunger for authenticity in the people leading them and setting an example.

That’s you. And if you feel like you need to hide, you’re exhausting yourself too.

No one wants to pursue a career in hiding.

Be willing to reveal your flaws. Talk about them. Share things you know may rock the boat a bit but are what you believe in.

You might be surprised by how energised leaning into your truth makes you.

It’s therapeutic, especially if you are willing to hear some criticism.

Own your losses, instead of doing everything in your power to avoid them.

Say ‘no more’ to the pain of trying to appear perfect.

It’s over.

This is it.

See the beauty in loss, failure and imperfection.

Your creativity will be reawakened.
