The game everyone's playing but you

-

You ever get that feeling that you're in some strange Truman Show-like game?

Everyone else seems to know exactly how to structure their day, how to stay motivated when no one's watching, how to explain what they do without getting blank stares.

Meanwhile, you're at your desk at 2 PM in your pyjamas, wondering if everyone else got a manual you never received.

I felt this especially when I first started working for myself.

My pals were following the standard path while I was trying to figure out if writing about random ideas could actually somehow support me.

They had structure and certainty. I had deep conversations with my cat and occasional moments of clarity.

I was out here making up my own rules, wondering if I was onto something or just avoiding real responsibility.

It took me some years and a lot of Internet sleuthing and pub chats to truly get that nobody has this figured out either.

It's a comforting feeling, because when you're doing practically everything by yourself, as I often do, it gives you a sense of connection.

And when I realised I wasn't the only one, I started to feel more empowered by my choices.

Most people never leave the well-trodden road. I'm writing my own story while everyone else is following the script.

The loneliness I feel sometimes comes from being one of the few people willing to bet on my own ideas instead of someone else's plan.

The uncertainty you experience is the price of creative freedom.

The doubt is normal when you're doing something most people think is impractical.

And these feelings return again and again.

That feeling of being on your own can be your advantage.

You're learning to think for yourself. You've developed self-reliance that most people never need to build.

You've chosen meaning and autonomy over security and predictability.

The world needs more people willing to step outside the system and create something original.

In those isolated moments, just remember what you have that others will never know.

If you're tired of keeping your best ideas locked in your head, my Online Writing Alchemy course shows you exactly how to turn your thoughts into writing that people actually want to read.

It's for people who've chosen the harder but more rewarding road.

The course teaches you how to thrive in an AI-driven world, where authentic writing is in higher demand than ever.
