- The beauty of easy words.
The beauty of easy words.
(more joy)
I used to frequently feel a tug on my inner belly.
I wasn’t pregnant.
I was nervous.
I hadn’t published an article in three days.
But I’d made a commitment.
I said I was going to make this ‘writing thing’ work.
The funny thing is, these days, I associate this feeling with completion.
When I get the nervous tug, I sit down anyway.
I sit down to write the simplest, funnest, easiest thing.
I might write something silly, like what you’re currently reading.
It’s not hard.
The idea of writing is big and tough and scary and complicated.
But writing these words…
It’s not hard.
I have a rough idea of my main point.
This point starts with a problem.
And I write out the solution.
Every article I write becomes an opportunity for enjoyment.
And it doesn’t need to be long or clever..
It just needs to solve a little problem.
The cure to creative overwhelm is:
Create tiny
Create easy
Create simple
Create fast
Create today.
If you want to master simple, non-AI, highly emotionally resonant writing:
Get this course right now: Online Writing Alchemy.
(I’m hugely biased - it’s my course, but it’s a great course)
It distils everything you need to know to master online writing without struggling through the thousands of mistakes I made over 15 years.
What is that knowledge worth to you?
Soon,
Alex
