Stay in your comfort zone

A day rarely goes by when I'm not:
thinking about something I feel I should do
that I know would be good for me to do
that I don't feel like doing
that I probably won't end up doing.
For example, right now, I get a little chirpy voice telling me I should be doing more in-person coaching, more public speaking and workshops, and making more money by doing more sociable things.
But I also want to write books. A lot of books. I'm obsessed with this.
I used to berate myself for not doing things I know would be good for me.
But over time, I also learned the importance of discernment...
Of understanding that I can't do everything in a limited day.
And that focus on fewer things usually results in far better outcomes.
So, that's my point.
Don't beat yourself up for not doing things when you know that it would only complicate your life and not really make you happy.
If you find yourself continually pressuring yourself to do things you keep avoiding, that may be a sign that those things just aren't for you.
Screw that thing for now. Leave it.
Just make sure you're not replacing that time with anything overly self-destructive.
Be constructive, but do the things you actually WANT to do.
Prioritise those things that will make you happy.
It's not all about David Gogginsing life and being continually miserable because you're 'pushing out of your comfort zone.'
Stay in your comfort zone, but do it better than anyone else.
And if you find it hard to honour yourself first, you may need to upgrade the vision you have of yourself.
You need concrete self-respect to put yourself first (in a healthy way).
My book: The Art of Self Respect, shows you the tiny daily habits that will transform how you view yourself.
And, in turn, how others see you.
DO NOT get this book if you don't want a noticeable boost in self-confidence within 24 hours. Muahahahahaha.
