So many good reasons to do what you want

-

Jason dislikes living in Germany, but I can’t get him to leave.

So many better options, but he can’t make the leap.

He tells me about all the reasons why leaving is not ideal right now.

He has ‘people he can’t leave behind.’

He doesn’t have ‘enough money’ to move.

‘His country needs him.’

So he stays somewhere he doesn’t like and it eats him inside.

He’s accepting a crap life to satisfy his worries.

The ones in his head.

I’ve had similar quandaries that kept me stuck.

Things I found intriguing that I chose not to do because I could find many terrific reasons NOT to do the thing.

Perhaps there’s something you’re considering that sets off a tingling in your throat because it’s interesting…

Your inner soul is calling at you, but you stuck a sock in its mouth.

But you find really smart and sometimes scary reasons NOT to take the leap.

But what I’ve learned over the years is this:

There is ALWAYS a fun, exciting and optimistic VERSION of every plan that seems interesting to you.

Read that again.

All it takes is a choice — your choice — to see it.

What are the good reasons for doing it?

List em out.

This list should be long, colourful and proud.

Please. stop focusing on the worst parts of the plan. It will only stall you, possibly for years.

Also, realise this (another optimistic approach) ⮕ you can always change your plan down the line.

Most things can be updated or pivoted.

Don’t do things you’re unsure about that you know you can’t take back.

But if you know there’s a fallback option, why the hell are you waiting?

Do the thing.

You’ll be even wrinklier when the regrets start coming in.

Go!

Alex’s Note: Making the right choices in life becomes easier when you’re not buzzing with endless conflicting thoughts.

Therefore, choice becomes easier when you know how to still your mind at will.

Untethered Mind course takes you by the hand (gently) and shows you how.

Love, Alex
