- Self-protection weakened me.
Self-protection weakened me.

One of society's big issues that few understand is how coddled we are to rejection.
We're told to self-protect, to distance, to 'work on ourselves.'
People are becoming weak little leaves as a result.
Whenever I overprotect, I end up giving little.
'It's me time (again), b*tches,' I'd think, while shoving ice-cream into my face in the comfort of my dark living room.
But when I give little, I get little back.
Happens every time.
That's what many people are feeling now.
They are getting few rewards because they aren't willing to expose themselves to some criticism.
The irony is that the very thing we avoid: judgment, pushback, and being misunderstood, is an inevitable side-effect to getting what we WANT in life.
Whether that's a hot girlfriend, a working business, a brand, or the freedom to live life the way you want to live.
It's how we grow a thicker skin, but it's also part of the price we pay for receiving.
Modern culture has turned vulnerability into a pathology. Something to 'heal' or manage with steel boundaries and bubble baths.
To win, even small wins, we need to stop self-protecting and start giving more.
Even if you feel awkward or exposed.
Put your work out there.
Make the first move.
Say what you think.
Take the meeting.
Send the email.
Post the thing.
The people who win aren't the ones with the perfect plan or the least anxiety.
They're the ones who act anyway.
If you're sick of self-sabotaging through overthinking, people-pleasing, or fear of what others think, I built something for you.
My 'Let Go of the S#it that Weakens You' course walks you through a set of exercises I used in my twenties to break down my fear of what others think.
You break down one negative belief at a time, and it can be done in a weekend.
If you're not getting enough in life, a handful of beliefs about other people are likely getting in the way.
These beliefs apply to everyone. Some people are just a little further along than others.
This course shows you how to erase those beliefs.
