Nobody read my writing for years
I must have shared a hundred articles before anyone showed interest.
It was annoying at first.
I felt like I was wasting my time.
But there was a glimmer that kept me writing.
Other people were doing it. I knew there was a way to figure it out.
Eventually, something clicked.
What if I stopped trying to fit into any label?
I decided to let go.
I was no longer a 'writer.'
I wasn't a 'content creator.'
I wasn't 'building a brand.'
Yawn.
I just started writing words I cared about instead.
Often imperfect. More honest.
Human by default.
I let real emotions emerge: anger, joy, peace, sadness, and passion.
And finally, people started to respond.
I learned that my writing works best when I'm not trying to bullsh!t anyone.
The same applies to anyone trying to write consistently.
When you try to be someone you're not, you burn out.
Because flat, lifeless work doesn't feel good to create.
When your writing has a pulse, it becomes fuel instead of a drain.
And it's that extra ingredient that keeps you going when most want to quit.
This is what most struggling writers miss. They're so busy trying to sound professional, they squeeze all the life out of their words.
Writing like yourself is easier, and it connects better.
So be you.
