Most don't get this odd thing about anxiety
Could this be the email that finally changes everything?
I'd grip the steering wheel like I was trying to end its life.
My jaw was locked throughout the journey.
My shoulders lived somewhere near my ears.
I didn't notice I was doing it…
Until an honest friend finally pointed out, 'You look like you're driving into a warzone every time you drive.'
He was right.
For years, I was a tense driver.
That tension was feeding the anxiety about crashing that, in turn, created more tension.
Back then, I didn't grasp the idea that tension in the body actually amplifies anxiety.
Gosh, I wish I'd known that earlier.
When I'm physically tight, my thoughts go faster.
I think more. The volume rises.
I'd notice the connection when I'm anxious.
My chest or shoulders are clenched like I'm bracing for impact.
And when things are clenched, I make it impossible to be calm.
It's a feedback loop most people never break because they're trying to control reality by thinking through it, instead of simply relaxing their body.
When I saw the connection, I started experimenting.
I'd deliberately soften my grip on the wheel.
I'd drop my shoulders.
I'd relax my jaw while waiting at traffic lights.
It felt weird to let go at first. But soon after, I'd get this sense that things were easier.
The anxious chatter took a back seat.
You can't think your way out of anxiety.
But you can physically relax.
Try this today:
Notice where you're holding tension. It could be in your jaw, shoulders, hands, or stomach.
Soften. Let it go.
Watch how your thoughts calm as your body relaxes.
The connection is real.
And if you want to dissolve that anxious loop entirely, rather than just manage it…
That's precisely what I guide you through in my Untethered Mind course.
It's not about 'techniques.' It's about rewiring the way you relate to your thoughts, so you feel calmer, clearer, and more present within minutes.
When you're no longer fighting yourself, everything gets easier.
