If you write for nothing else, do it for this

. . .

Writing is stupid.

It’s just people with big egos trying to sound clever, showing off with words.

What’s the point of tapping keys every day like a monkey?

Who am I to be a writer?

What do I know that others don’t already know?

These are some of the thoughts I’ve had over the last 15 years of writing pretty much every day.

Those doubts and criticisms never fully go away — I’m afraid to say.

But instead of shaking hands with these bulls#it thoughts, and closing my laptop…

I write anyway.

I write in defiance of these thoughts, what others think, and what society wants of me.

I write because every time I write, my character builds.

Defying doubts is empowering.

I do this for me, as much as I do this for the people who need to read what I have to say.

Doubtful thoughts will show up.

They show up for the pros JUST as much as the beginners.

It’s not easy to feel doubt, and yet continue to write whether it rains or shines.

That’s why to write for 6 months straight is such an incredible feat.

Even if it’s 100 words a day.

You’re doing something few can say they have the courage or strength or staying power to do.

Because to continually defy your doubts is to be brave.

And writing, as simple as it sounds — is not only a tool to positively impact the lives of other people (trust me, you do) — it is a tool for self-transformation.

I am not the same person I was three years ago.

Writing daily expanded me as a person. I am stronger today because of writing.

Write to defy the doubt.

This will keep you fired up and keep you on track.

That’s how to set yourself apart.

I would have seen a far better response to my writing and made much more impact earlier had I understood the craft of online writing back then. It is an art.

Online Writing Alchemy course lays it all out for you. That’s 15 years of my failures and successes distilled into 16 secrets.

Bring your best, most human self to the fore with powerful writing. Watch the impact you can make.
