I was my worst opponent
I love clouds
Ever wondered why you get stressed or anxious?
I used to get terrible anxiety all the time.
I’d avoid going to group meetups because I was worried I’d look weird and start shaking in front of people.
Over the years, I learned that anxiety is simply the physical manifestation of self-judgement.
I reduced my anxiety, not when I learned to like myself more.
But when I realised I could like myself without forcing anything...
...When I understood that in the absence of self-judgement, everything is fine.
Self-critical thoughts come and go, but they only turn into anxiety when I take any of them seriously.
What I seized, grew.
When I let them float by like clouds, self-love appeared, even if it didn’t seem obvious.
And anxiety has nothing to cling to.
Untethered Mind course, by the way, is the guide I made to instil this thinking for the long term.
Read it and absorb it in hours, and watch your understanding shift for good.
When anxiety is rare in your life, what is possible for you?
Toodles,
Alexander the Imperfect
