I screwed up my book release.
. . .
Many weeks ago, I told you I was pre-releasing my latest book in 'a couple of weeks.'
I buggered up. It's still not quite ready.
I won't lie that I've been a bit burned out recently with writing, so I've been taking my foot off the gas a bit (though not entirely stopping).
Yes, even the cool, good-looking Internet writer guy who has preached about how to avoid burnout in the past, got a little burned out.
Having said all this, the book is now just about ready for pre-release (my 'Blurb Club' subscribers will get free access to a digital copy).
I was reminded that good things can still happen when we don't expect everything to be linear.
Two steps forward, one step back, two forward, and all that.
It's part of any journey, and regular writing is no different.
There are ALWAYS moments of doubt, exhaustion, and fed-upness.
Nearly twenty years of writing like this have hardened me to one reality. This is part of the game, and if I remain persistent, even taking some time off as needed, the rewards will appear.
And now we have a new shiny book to show for it:
The Never-Retired Writer (NRW): How I'm building a life of freedom through words
If you're interested in the book, I set up a special group of subscribers called 'Blurb Club.'
This group is for those of you willing to help me here and there, mainly in the form of book reviews, survey help, and blurbs for my latest products.
By joining this group and agreeing to support me like this, you get:
Early access to many of my latest books and products, including NRW.
Q and A sessions
Special discounts on new products
If you'd like to be part of this, you can fill in a quick survey that takes literally one or two minutes, here, and you'll be added.
Appreciate you,
Alex
