I don't know if you've noticed it, but I see it everywhere.

Maybe I notice it where others miss it.

Maybe it's because I've been writing online for over 16 years.

But everywhere I look, I see writing that is clearly pure AI-written.

'It's not this. It's that.'

'And honestly...?'

I hate it.

The same cliches. The same sentence styles. The same voice across the web. I even see it on YouTube videos. Clearly AI-scripted.

It's like being chased by clones.

No effort is made to even tweak the voice to be more distinct.

I don't think that using AI to write is a problem in itself.

If the words make sense and help the reader, that serves its purpose, right?

Except, I immediately switch off when I see the same AI clichés.

It makes the creator look lazy, insincere, and dishonest.

And ultimately, it dissolves the humanness of the writer.

Not good for trust-building.

And not good for you either, the person who could have written it.

Because the act of writing has kept me sane for decades.

Understanding how to communicate and connect with others through words (without relying on ChatGPT to think for me) has benefited all areas of my life.

And now, most people are choosing to use AI to write the final output, distancing themselves from their readers, while missing out on the benefits of actually writing.

I'm not saying we shouldn't use AI to help speed up the process, but we need to understand what works to engage a reader without sounding like every other last AI butthead.

You can't afford to be vanilla.

You can't stand out if you don't know the fundamentals of what makes your writing rich, engaging, unique and human.
