One of the biggest questions for me over the last couple of months has been:

How do I make my plot of grass into a home?

Because buying land is one thing; living on it comfortably is another.

And, given my goal of writing the best fiction novels I can, I need a base.

I need somewhere I can write without distraction, with plenty of solitude.

I've cycled through many options, including dropping a container on my site, living in a motorhome, building a tiny home, getting a caravan, and living in a mini tent-village base camp.

It recently occurred to me, given my criteria of not only living somewhere pleasant on my property, but also having the flexibility not to be too tied down, that a caravan trailer is the best option for me now.

Buying a caravan means I can live in relative comfort, on wheels, immediately, rather than waiting months.

The brand that appeals the most right now is Adria, a Slovenian company, which makes caravans that don't have interiors made for grandma (sorry, darl).

I can't be dealing with chintzy, kitchy, floral sofas, and overly rounded worktops.

So, I want a good caravan.

But now I'm worried about how much it will cost.

A good one is a solid investment.

But when I worry about things like money, I return to my main purpose.

When I allow my mind to still, my purpose reveals itself.

And that - at least right now - is building the optimal environment for creating remarkable creative things.

Namely science fiction novels.

And now the investment makes sense that actually connects with my soul.

It's a home on wheels that I plan to last over a decade as my main base, and ideally even 30 years +.

With the caravan, I can finally get back to solid work quickly on my plot, while feeding my energy by developing the land around me the way I want.

This brings me back to you.
