Coach: 'How many books have you written?'
Me: 'Something like six. Or maybe seven or eight. Not too sure.'
My coach thinks it's hilarious that I don't know how many books I've written. I guess that happens when you've written a few and lose count.
Writing books has been one of my main passions for over a decade, and I'm now moving into writing novels too. AI support is making the whole process even faster.
God, it's so fun.
Beyond the creative kick, books have been one of the best things for my daily self-confidence.
Each one is a challenge, like a puzzle you have to stick to and actually complete. And it's exhilarating to hear from readers around the world who sit in their living rooms or beds and actually hold something I wrote.
It's still amazing to me that hundreds of people buy my books every month.
Years ago, I never thought I'd be able to write and sell a book. I was proven wrong. I still sell books, and some have become full courses. They help me live a free life, they grow my readership, and they keep me feeling proud of what I've built.
But the thing that actually made my books work wasn't the writing itself. It was having over 20,000 email subscribers already there when I hit publish (and more readers following online).
Without that, even a great book just sits there.
If you're working on a book, or you've been putting one off for years, the single best thing you can do right now is start building the audience who'll be waiting to read it.
Online Writing Alchemy shows you how to write the kind of stuff people actually WANT to subscribe to, based on years of my own trial and error.
That's gold for any writer planning to finish and share a book.
The course is $197 this week, down from $397.
