I changed my mind.

-

The European heat is making me chicken out.

I was planning to camp on my new piece of land in rural Bulgaria this summer.

I think I'll drive my way out of it.

I'll get in my car, turn on the cool air, and drive from Sofia this week through the Romanian Carpathians, and Hungary up to Poland and back.

(stay tuned to see if I’ll make it that far)

I'll likely mostly be sleeping in my rooftop tent.

Then tend to my land when things start to cool down a bit here.

I will also be mixing in a bit of business on this trip. It won't all be laughs and giggly mayhem by fireside.

I will firstly do my best to carve out time for writing my science fiction novel, 'North of Nothing,' when I'm on the road.

I will also keep you posted on my trip and continue sending these emails, albeit at a slower pace.

This is, of course, the beauty of setting up my life so that this kind of thing is possible.

I've been purposeful with all this.

My income sources are deliberately set up to work regardless of where I am in the world.

I send an email like this, and - ping - I sell some of my products.

I have set things up so that I am not tied to any location or any one boss.

If you're interested in the details of how I personally used regular online writing to create a similar set up with a few thousand dollars coming in each month remotely, allowing me to write books and reach people around the world from the roof of my car on a Romanian mountain...

You'll enjoy my book, 'The Never-Retired Writer,' which shows you everything I learned over decades as a location-independent writer, and how you might do something similar.

Later,

Alex
