How I learned to end creator’s block

Join me for a cup of tea

I used to struggle to sit down and write.

My mind would go blank, and I’d curse myself for thinking this would be so easy minutes before.

But I knew I wanted to share my message, build a community of readers around me, make money, and find freedom.

I had a hundred different thoughts running. The overwhelm canceled out any creative insight that was trying to appear.

Some might call it ‘writer’s block.’

I thought I wasn’t ‘creative enough.’

But today I call it: ‘looking in the wrong place.’

I gradually learned that creativity, regardless of how you feel, comes when you focus on what matters.

Amateur creators struggle because they think of several things at once. The mind is, therefore, blocked. There are many options for you for where to look.

But one of the best things to do is to keep in mind the one person with whom you want to have a conversation.

For example, this can be your likeable ideal reader.

Who are they? What do they look like? What’s their name?

Welcome them into your house.

Offer them a cup of tea, then sit them on the sofa.

Now you’re in the room with your one reader. This makes all the difference.

What do they struggle with? Well, don’t look at me...

Ask them!

That’s the power of the mind and the cool pictures you can create.

What did they say? Ok good. Ask again to go a bit deeper.

Now we’re cooking (not literally).

Tell them what you know that will help them with this problem.

Directing your thoughts to vivid scenes like this is a cheat code for sincere, direct and empathetic writing.

If you’re blocked, invite them in for tea.

Now that you have many conversations you’d love to have, you’ll want some guidance on how to write (communicate) in a way that makes your guest hang on your every word.

Online Writing Alchemy will transform your writing fast, so you save years of wasted time writing to no one.
