Heatwave schmeetwave

I timed my trip to the UK to visit my family perfectly.
...if I were a huge fan of sweating in my bed sheets.
The temperatures here are reaching 36 C in my area. Unheard of.
But I'm not that big a fan of sweating when I sleep.
There's no air con here, you see, and very few homes have air con because it's pointless for most of the year.
So I've developed a newfound obsession with electric fans.
The heat will increasingly affect most of us like this in the coming years, whether human-created climate change is to blame or not.
So, we have some options:
Install air con that isn't used for 92% of the year.
Leave the country to a place that has cooler summers.
Get a fan, drop your shoulders, and take it on the chin.
Or...
You can become a mental calm ninja.
Because even though the heat can make life difficult, much of that 'difficulty' is stress stirred in the mind by our resistance to what is.
The heat won't likely change any time soon.
But my response to it can.
There are always a handful of things we can do, whether it's something that can be manipulated in the external realm (as the bullets above show)...
Or something that can be controlled at the level of the mind.
The mind realm is the most interesting one, because it relies ZERO on changing anything, but how we interpret the world.
Mental ninjery is a massively untapped resource for many.
It's the art of letting go when most want to fuss and fight.
When we let go, creative solutions appear.
Seemingly hard things become manageable or even FUN things.
We become calmer and more appealing to other people.
We find we can handle most, if not all, situations with greater ease and finesse.
If you'd like to learn how to become a mental ninja so that things like heat waves or external stresses are transmuted to creativity and optimism...
You might like my course: Untethered Mind.
The course guides you through several vital insights about the power of thought that gently rewire your thought process and provide the foundation for long-term mental badassery.
Here's what George Sisneros said about the course:
I CAN’T STOP THINKING ABOUT IT.
What I learned in this course won’t leave me alone...in a very good way. It was easy to consume and easy to understand.
If you can drop your guard, if you can open your mind, this course will change your life.
If you’re living in a prison of stress, anxiety or panic, this course will show you that the door to your cell is already unlocked...and when you walk out and look back, you’ll realize there was never a door at all.
I hesitate to say this because it’s such a bold statement, but this is the best course I’ve ever taken...ever...university included.
Alex. Thank you.'
