Find your freaks (FYF)

41 years on this planet have shown me the frequent madness of the human condition.

We're mad because most of us do the things that actually put us at a disadvantage from the get-go.

We follow the crowd because it feels safer here, but by blending in, we reduce opportunities and make life harder.

It's about supply and demand.

But when you do something that few others are doing, and you do it with passion, these things are pretty much inevitable:

1. You stand out, because no one else is doing it - and that's interesting.

2. You do that thing really, really well, because you're automatically energised to do it.

These two are crucial. But you still need to do something to be seen.

And, I strongly believe, you can make money from EVERY passion, no matter how obscure and weird, because of the Internet.

If you find it interesting, no doubt some sliver of the population will too.

You just need to talk about what you're doing.

Write about it.

Make videos about it.

Gather an audience of fellow crazies. We live in an era of the tribe. Your job is to find like-minded freaks (FYF). Stop trying to please everyone, or do what every other as$hole is doing.

I am talking about my novels and my farm. I'm in my fiction-writing farmer era. I will then sell my novels this way, and invite people to write with me on my farm by the mountains.

The critical component here is doing what genuinely fascinates you. NO shortcuts here. Because that's what sustains all the other stuff.

Now you have something you're good at, that you love to do, that makes you stand out, AND that has an audience.

400 people is amazing. That can take a few months, or even weeks.

That's uncommon leverage.

Only your creative imagination will stop you from making a living from this.

Monetise it online, sell your method, sell the product, gather patrons and paying members.
