Everyone needs an outlet for expressive communication

. . .

I’m in a Cafe Nero in Warsaw, and an alien object catches my eye.

A strange, shiny cuboid on the other table.

Pearly grey sheen.

Its owner, a student, is eating vanilla cake.

Some gadget I’d never seen before.

It’s like a Gameboy got cut in half before being force-fed digital calories for a month.

At that moment, I’m one of those boomers, out of touch with what the cool kids are using.

Then, she opens the gadget like a clam and proceeds to text someone on it.

Communication.

The tools are changing rapidly.

The way we interact with other humans is evolving at a daily rate.

But the fundamentals remain.

We suffer when we don’t express ourselves regularly to other living, breathing humans.

So, as I type this, I am reinvigorated. I don’t care if I’m not up to date with the latest shiny thing.

I care that I have the opportunity to continually express my ideas like this - to you.

It breathes life into me every day that I do this.

Many of you follow me because you aren’t fulfilled, need purpose, have too much stress or anxiety or self-doubt.

The solution, I found, wasn’t in endlessly trying to fix myself.

Sure, a little therapy might help for a while. But you need to leave it as soon as you can.

The solution for me lay in regular, expressive communication.

And we have ENDLESS ways to do this.

Videos.

Podcasts.

Articles.

Watchumuthingimies.

Books.

Novels.

Live streams.

If you’re stuck, consider how you might get unstuck through communicating yourself expressively.

Even if no one reads it to start. Heck, this is the best place to be for a beginner.

Do what works for you.

The foundation for developing the habit of expressive communication, I believe, is by writing.

Now’s the time to start.

10 days of 100 words per day.

Unleash your inner crazy dragon demon.

A client of mine just told me how blown away he was with my writing course: Online Writing Alchemy.

Now, he can’t wait to write every day (I’m not even joking).

Knowing how to write to attract LIKES makes him actually WANT to write.
