A simple reframe will bring you relief
. . .
I was on a client call recently, and the client told me she was having trouble being consistent.
I’d noticed the same.
We’d spoken of how she was full of ideas and excited to start, but barely shared any content online.
I probed a bit further.
She told me she ‘just couldn’t find the time.’
I inquired further.
It turns out she had plenty of time in the week to write and post things.
That wasn’t it.
We soon discovered a thought that was keeping her stuck:
‘I don’t want to share something that makes me seem stupid.’
Ah, now we’re getting somewhere.
It’s not her lack of time, or laziness, or lack of ideas.
It was her concern about being judged.
A common one.
The problem was, without posting frequently, she was invisible. Her dream clients couldn’t find her, and her brand wasn’t growing.
I could see she was frustrated.
So we reframed.
What if her sharing content online was generosity instead of exposure?
Her words were a gift, not some selfish ‘performance.’
Readers could take the gift or leave it.
It turns out that most, if not everything, of what seems sucky to you right now can benefit from a reframe.
That’s the power of looking at things through the fog of self-criticism.
I often worry I’m upsetting people by sending out so many posts. But then I reel myself back by reminding myself that my work is here to serve others, not to scratch some ego itch.
What if you knew that everything you shared online was an act of generosity?
If someone doesn’t like it, that’s on them. They’re showing themselves up. Their own insecurity. You don’t need to be fussed with that.
Focus on helping with dizzying abundance.
My client did that, and now she’s posting twice as much as before.
If you’re stuck, there’s always a reframe to bring relief and clarity.
Btw, if your mind’s been loud lately, you’re anxious, distracted, or stuck in doubt, and you’re craving a reset, I’ve got one private client space open this month.
We’ll clear the noise and help you reconnect to what matters so you can stop self-sabotaging and start creating again.
If that speaks to you, just reply ‘interested.’
