A simple habit that helps you return to who you really are

I used to get worried about little things all the time.

I made them bigger in my head.

The concerns grew until my heart was pounding in my chest.

So I looked for solutions.

I tried to improve my finances.

I avoided people so I didn’t get anxious.

I kept changing my lifestyle so I’d feel less worried.

That didn’t work.

Until I learned more about mindfulness.

I learned that it starts in how we manage our minds. Not in how we manage what’s out there in the world. You can never manage it all.

But you can develop a calmer mind.

This means disconnecting from your thoughts.

Not to become more stupid, but to raise your awareness.

When I worked on being more mindful, I became more aware.

I connected with an inner wisdom.

My intelligence followed (at least, I like to think so). Because I could be real dumb when lost in thought.

Where’s the best place to start developing this inner calm?

Start small.

5 minutes of sitting in silence, watching your breath.

It feels boring at first, but eventually, it becomes somehow fascinating.

If you’re nervous or worried, that’s your cue to meditate.

Nice and short and quick and easy.

Over time, you train your mind to be less reactive.

Your creativity and wisdom will return.

Eventually, you’ll wonder why you saw the world the way you did.

And if you want help clarifying your own direction and making real progress this year with my support, I have two coaching spots open.

Just hit reply with ‘interested‘ if you’re interested.
