a life without decisions

-

This crazy guy at the mall came up to me and shook me by the shoulders.

He said this as he looked me dead in the eyes:

'Hey stranger, you know if you wrote a page a day, you can write a full book in just six months!'

He went on his way, and I chuckled to myself.

Because I've known this all along. It's why I keep writing and publishing every day.

Even when I'm at camp, and there are bears snuffling in the bushes.

Some days I feel like warmed-up cat-turds and write little. But I still write.

That's the power of a commitment.

It means I get to make FEWER decisions.

And having to make many decisions all day long stalls many.

Just make one decision (your commitment), and then proceed to NOT renege on it.

A page a day.

A video per week.

Shaking one stranger by the shoulders every day.

5,000 steps a day.

Sending one text to someone every day.

There may be days when you think - is it worth it?

You reply: who cares?

The commitment has been made.

You just follow the commitment.

When you do this over enough days, you will be gobsmacked at how your life changes.

By the way, there's one huge thing that often gets in the way of making commitments and actually sticking to them for months and years, like a true badass:

Self-respect.

If you feel a lack of it has held you back in life, now's your time to get the playbook I wrote on how to reclaim what's already YOURS.

'The Art of Self Respect.'

This book shows you the tiny, daily habits that will re-create a confident self-image so you take action where it counts, with grace and healthy pride.
